Mycket Mer (Much More) is a project about the appearance and atmosphere of the infrastructure that keeps our society running. The roads, tanks, smokestacks, factories, offices, and similar structures—and their often depressing architecture and design—have fascinated me for a long time.
Scattered on the edges of inner Stockholm, these are sights that nobody wants to see but that we rely on. Why do the functions of the comfortable Western world need to be so "ugly"? Why do they take on these forms, and are they truly ugly?
I tried to uncover and showcase the hidden charm of these environments. Perhaps it is a coping mechanism to endure the "swept under the rug" aspects of a city.
